A picture of my boys
My favorite books
My knitting and a cup of tea
A freshly baked cookie
A lavender candle

My bedside table is sacred. A space for the things that bring me a sense of joy and serenity. A space that is all mine, small as it may be.

Low blood counts, canceled chemo and radiation has left us with an unexpected week at home.

It is a setback, but in truth, it is a week that we were ALL in desperate need of.

A week to reconnect with the ones that we love.

Snuggled up in our BIG bed with my husband, our boy and our cats, we giggled and watched funny shows.

Our legs and arms intertwined like pretzels….making sure that no one could escape back to another state.

We fell right into our familiar rhythm.

The rhythm of family.
